SOM - Service Operations Management is firmly established as a field of study that embraces all service industries.

SOM specifically focuses on understanding services from a Manager's perspective- like, designing services, service strategies, technology in services, Service Quality, Service Encounter, Location strategies, forecasting, Managing waiting lines and such related areas.

SOM enables students to understand the services from both provider and consumer perspectives which helps in building a balanced consensus if they ever chose to design their own service start-up.
